Saranac Stories – Episode 1

This past fall, during Saranac’s inaugural Legacy Weekend, we decided to get some of the people who were here in front of the video camera and have them retell some of their favorite Saranac stories or memories.  What we got was just a goldmine of material covering everything from the most hilarious to the most heartfelt memories that people have made here.  Enjoy this first episode of Saranac stories as Dave Wintsch talks about living in the boathouse apartment.

A Year of Saranac

One of the really neat things about having the Legacy webcam set up is that we can pull off some awesome time lapse videos.  This video was put together using over 2100(!) images from throughout this year. On most days the webcam shoots and archives two images – one in the morning and one in the evening.  However, there were a few days this year where we set it to archive a few more pictures in order to capture things like the boathouse roof going on, the ice going out, etc.  Please enjoy this video of all four seasons set in front of one of the best views on the planet (in our opinion) all in just two minutes and thirty seconds.
